Spotting Platforms

for

Uneven Bars & High Bar

Now Coaches do not have to be acrobats to spot bars

ADVANTAGES

These Spotting Tables & removable Spotting Decks offer the coach an extremely stable and padded platform in exactly the perfect location for spotting . Gymnasts become more confident and will learn faster.

Spotting Decks can be easily added or removed in seconds. The arms of the Spotting Deck just slide in and out of the matching sleeves on the Spotting Table. The Tables bolt to the concrete, completely outside of the uneven bars, and the Spotting Decks slide in and "cantilever" out into the working bar area with nothing under the Spotting Deck for the gymnast to "hit".

You will no longer need to drag or carry spotting blocks all over the gym.

Each Table has high and low locations for the placement of Spotting Decks. The Triple has 6 attachment locations. 3 are at the top (4 1/2 feet high) and 3 are lower (2 feet high). The "Double" and "Half & Half" each have 4 attachment locations.  The "Single" has 2 attachment locations.  Each Spotting Deck location offers advantages for spotting different skills.

The Spotting Tables come standard with 1 Spotting Deck and all the mounting hardware. The Tables and Decks are unfinished and can be ordered with a beautiful power coat red or with a primer coat. The top pads are a thick 1 1/4" foam covered with red vinyl.

These Tables are invaluable when used in conjunction with a "Pit" where traditional spotting blocks cannot be used.

The Spotting Tables are best placed on "Pit Bars" or a set of bars that are not normally adjusted. The Tables will limit the inward adjustability of the bars. The Table can also be used from the other side for use on 2 sets of adjacent uneven bars.

TRIPLE SPOTTING TABLES

Below, are pictures of the Triple with 1, 2, & 3 spotting platforms added. The 1st has 1 platform added on the outside of the hi bar. This location is the most common spotting location for casting, front & back giants, invert & German giants, blinds and all other pirouettes, Releases such as Geingers, Jaegers, dismounts such as front & back single and double flyaways and probably many other skills that we have not thought of as yet.

Putting in a 2nd platform allows you to spot on both sides of the hi bar. This allows the coach to quickly move to a different spotting location for gymnasts doing different skills. The gymnasts will be able to easily & quickly mount the bars.  This is exactly like the Half & Half pictured below.

The 3rd platform forms a solid platform like "channel bars" with the added advantage of being able to remove the decks. The triple can use the retractable Tkatchev spot deck just as described for the Double (shown below), as well as all the skills listed that can be spotted on the lower spot deck locations.

DOUBLE SPOTTING TABLES

This picture and the following 3 pictures show the Double Spotting Table with different spot platform configurations.  This picture shows 1 Spotting Deck near the high bar.

With a 2nd spotting platform added, the coach can easily spot giants and circle skills on the hi bar. The gymnasts will quickly and easily mount the bars to help speed up your rotations.

This picture shows the special retractable Tkatchev platform for an "arm spot" of a Tkatchev. This set up allows for the gymnast to straddle her legs with the coach spotting.

LOW SPOT DECK LOCATIONS

All the Spotting Tables have lower sleeves allowing the spotting platforms to be mounted about 2 feet above the mat or pit.   This location is perfect to spot skills such as straddle backs to handstand, flips between the bars and all shoots and swings over the low bar.

HALF & HALF SPOTTING TABLES

The Half & Half is designed to be used with a single bar or centered on the upright of the hi bar. The coach can spot on either side of the single bar.

SINGLE SPOTTING TABLE

The single can be mounted anywhere and takes up the least amount of room. The single can be mounted next to a Double making it a Triple.

LOW SPOT DECK LOCATIONS

All the Spotting Tables have lower sleeves allowing the spotting platforms to be mounted about 2 feet above the mat or pit.  This location is perfect to spot front & back flyaway skills.

All the spotting tables are shown on one side of the uneven bars, but every platform can be used on either side to allow the coach to spot on his/her preferred side. The ideal situation is to have a spotting platform mounted on both sides of your uneven bars.
